Traveler in Chicago Day One 3/21/09

Jill, Sally, Tony and I jetted off to the Windy City for an autograph show and a theater event...

As always, I spent the flight thinking about the adventures to come!

We landed and hit the rush hour traffic, so we spent a long time in the car...
Even though I had never been to Chicago, I did some back seat driving...This is the driver Bob. I call him Re-Bob and he listens to my directions, but then just goes ahead and drives however he wants... I love Re-Bob.

First stop a television interview...

Tony and I talked politics with the new Illinois Governor Quinn backstage...

Then it was showtime!More press...

I need some coffee, it's been a busy day...

Tony and I square off before the evening's events. I need a Stetson like Tony's...

Then, it's off to the Hollywood Blvd Cinema for a book signing and screening of Some Like it Hot.

Why is everyone staring at me, don't they know who I am? Read the Blog people!

Keeping a close eye on Sally at Tony's table...

Then for some relaxation, it was off to the bar. Those bottles look so pretty!

Two Pomegranate Martinis later, and I am out for the night. I trust that re-Bob will get me safely home...

The Luxor Hotel And Casino Booksigning 3/14/09

I worked with Tc at his booksigning at the Luxor Hotel. He likes me to stay close at events...
We shared some breakfast and read about our upcoming signing in the gossip column in the newspaper...

Then off to the Luxor where we had our photos taken. Ah, I'm over here...

Then we got to signing. We signed over 130 books in two hours. That is hard work! We also sold some art pieces and some art posters.

Here is one of TC's new cats from his "Cats Helping Horses" collection. These are 12"X12" giclees of cats taken from Tony's art works. 100% of the proceeds go directly to the Shiloh horses. These cats will be available very soon on Tony's and Shiloh's websites. They are so cute! See "Cats Helping Horses" here!

After the event, I stopped and smelled the flowers...

The girls, Tc and I are off to Chicago next week and I am rearing to go!
